signed, sealed, delivered- i'm yours!

for lucy's first valentine's day, we made her littlest friends fruit kabobs
since none of them actually eat chocolate yet... i like that it was a healthy option too!

we used a heart shaped cookie cutter to cut out fruit- apple, pear, watermelon and kiwi
(the fruit needs to be at least 3/4" thick).
then we speared the hearts using bamboo skewers.

the left-over rings made perfect teething rings for lucy!

a little blueberry between each heart was just right!
to keep apples and pears from browning, i soaked them for a minute
in a mixture of 1 1/2 tbs of lemon juice to 1 cup water.

we wrapped the kabobs in cellophane, tied them with ribbon
and added hand-stamped xox tags

we gave the treats to lucy's friends with vintage valentine cards

  1. This is a fantastic idea and good for any age considering the unhealthy amount of chocolate and candy children eat! What a great alternative!! They are super cute!!
