ah yes, the church lobby

a while back, i wrote about proposing some ideas to freshen up our church. we've started with the lobby and we'll move on from there.
i'm showing these photos as an example of simple and inexpensive changes that could take place in a public space. our church space is shared by many and i wanted it to please several generations of church members as well as guests that come in for the first time. i also had to take into consideration several existing elements: the wood beams, the carpet, the lights and the book-sales kiosk.

*** all tables, wall shelves, white highchairs (behind welcome desk), curtain rod and pictures frames are from ikea; curtain fabric is unikko pattern by marimekko from the finnish place; gray chairs, garbage bin and several storage bins are from homesense; bulletin boards are from jysk; several storage bins are from dollarama (!) ***
